Why physiotherapy

Symptoms

Symptoms in physical therapy may vary depending on the issue or injury being treated. Here are several common symptoms patients may experience during physiotherapy:

  • Pain: A primary reason patients seek physiotherapy. Pain can be localized or diffuse. Physiotherapists work to reduce pain through therapeutic techniques.
  • Limited mobility: Reduced movement or function due to injury or conditions such as arthritis. Physiotherapists improve mobility through exercises and therapies.
  • Swelling: Fluid accumulation causing edema. Techniques like compression and therapeutic exercise help reduce swelling.
  • Muscle weakness: Injury or disease can cause weakness. Strengthening exercises and targeted treatment improve muscle strength.
  • Balance or gait issues: Balance or walking difficulties can be assessed and treated to improve stability.
  • Posture problems: Poor posture can cause pain and discomfort. Postural education and corrective exercise help reduce strain.
  • Nerve impairment: Tingling, numbness, or pain due to neural issues. Massage and neural mobilization can help relieve symptoms.
  • Loss of functional ability: Difficulty with daily activities such as walking or self‑care. Physiotherapy helps restore function and independence.

These symptoms are general and vary by condition or injury. Therapy is tailored to the individual to restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

Why physiotherapy

Causes

There are many reasons to see a physiotherapist. Here are some of the most common:

  • Muscle and joint pain: Persistent or worsening pain in muscles, joints, or spine can be assessed and treated appropriately.
  • Post‑injury recovery: After fractures, sprains, or surgery, physiotherapy helps restore strength and mobility.
  • Poor posture or biomechanical issues: Corrective programs reduce pain and improve movement efficiency.
  • Sports injuries: Acute and overuse injuries are common—therapy expedites recovery.
  • Postural disorders: Back and neck pain due to posture can be reduced with guided exercise.
  • Neurological conditions: Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or stroke benefit from targeted rehab.
  • Injury prevention: Advice and exercise to prevent injuries—especially for active individuals.

If you have symptoms related to pain or mobility, consult a physiotherapist for assessment and a tailored plan to your needs.

Why physiotherapy

Treatment

Treatment in physical therapy covers a wide spectrum of approaches and techniques to improve function, reduce pain, support recovery, and prevent complications. Key components include:

  • Exercise therapy: The foundation of physiotherapy. Specific movements improve strength, flexibility, range of motion, and coordination.
  • Manual therapy: Hands‑on techniques to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and relieve muscle tension (mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue techniques, massage).
  • Electrotherapy: Electrical stimulation to reduce pain, improve circulation, and accelerate healing.
  • Tecar therapy: High‑frequency electromagnetic waves that stimulate deep tissues, accelerate regeneration, and reduce pain.
  • Shockwave therapy: High‑energy acoustic waves for tendinopathies and calcifications.
  • Thermo‑ and cryotherapy: Heat and cold to reduce pain, relax muscles, decrease inflammation, and improve circulation.
  • Education & guidance: Advice on condition management, prevention, exercise technique, ergonomics, and posture.

Treatment is tailored to each individual and integrated into a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. The goal is to optimize recovery, improve quality of life, and ensure long‑term function.

Tecar therapy

Discover the power of Tecar therapy – an innovative solution for faster recovery and pain relief! In our clinic you can now benefit from the BTL‑6000 Elite TR‑Therapy device.

This advanced therapy uses high frequencies to stimulate tissue, improving circulation, reducing pain, and promoting regeneration. Ideal for athletes, chronic pain, post‑operative recovery, and rehabilitation after injuries.

Spinal traction

Spinal traction (figuratively, “spinal elongation”) enables traction and mobilization of bone and muscle tissue through controlled therapeutic forces.

The decompression device can be used for various musculoskeletal conditions such as disc bulging, degenerative disc disease, disc pain, facet joint syndrome, disc herniation, hypomobility, joint pain, disc prolapse, protrusion, nerve root pain, and muscle spasm.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy uses a Shock Wave device and is widely applied in orthopedics, physical therapy, and sports medicine.

The main benefit is that it significantly reduces pain and restores mobility.

It accelerates recovery and treats a range of conditions that cause acute or chronic pain.

I had a great experience with IMC Fizio clinic. In my case it was a fracture—thanks to a combination of therapies, I was walking without crutches just 10 days after the cast was removed. Many thanks to Filip. Excellent young team with fair, accessible prices; therapy starts immediately with no waiting, which is a big plus. They don’t watch the clock—sessions often last longer than scheduled. I recommend them to everyone; after recovery you’ll come back at least for a relaxing massage.
